Excitement is building around Trollwood this week! Sun Celebration is right around the corner which means the Trollwood Academy and Totally Trollwood Academy students had their Share Days this week. Meet Costume Designer Mary McClung!

Mary McClung is returning for a third season after designing Mary Poppins and The Little Mermaid for Trollwood.  She has designed costumes, puppets, and sets for theatre, video, and television. Companies include Disney, Children’s Television Workshop, Universal Studios, Dallas Children’s Theatre, The Idaho Repertory Theatre, and The Colorado Shakespeare Festival.  Professional design credits include As You Like It, The Dining Room, A Christmas Carol, Twelfth Night, The Tempest, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Sesamo Barrio (Sesame Street, Spain), and The Big Friendly Giant. Currently, she is a Professor of Costume Design at West Virginia University. Designs while at WVU include Guys and Dolls, Jekyll and Hyde, Caucasian Chalk Circle, Dracula, Another [...]

Singin’ in the Rain Auditions

The cast of the 2023 Mainstage Musical Singin’ in the Rain is expanding! In order to give as many students as possible the opportunity to perform in this award-winning classic musical, we are expanding the cast. We will be holding Mainstage Musical cast auditions on Saturday, February 25. With much of the cast set to return after the 2022 Mainstage Musical postponement, lead roles are already filled. But there are still tremendous opportunities for students to gain experience as a member of the ensemble! Trollwood Performing Arts School is grateful to receive grant funding from a number of organizations that will support its arts education and performance programming and fund the Trollwood Students at Risk (STAR) program.
