Trollwood Performing Arts School, located at Bluestem Center for the Arts, is a unique arts organization committed to providing high quality arts education, exceptional community entertainment, and serves as a community events and exposition center.

Trollwood serves as the managing arm for Bluestem Center for the Arts, a world-class facility headquartered in Moorhead, MN. The campus includes river views, grassy meadows, woods and wildlife, outdoor stages, a 2,500-seat amphitheatre, and the beautiful Marcil Commons which serves as an educational center and rental space including warm, knotty pine rooms with beautiful park views.

Trollwood Performing Arts School’s youth programs are committed to providing high quality performing arts education and exceptional community entertainment.

Since 1978, thousands of young people have spent their summers learning, growing, and making friends at Trollwood. Trollwood offers nine annual arts education, youth leadership and performance programs.

MAINSTAGE MUSICAL PRODUCTION TEAM POSITIONS

COSTUME STITCHER/WARDROBE: TROLLWOOD PERFORMING ARTS SCHOOL 2020

Join professionals from across the nation at Trollwood Performing Arts School, a unique youth arts organization that produces a high quality Broadway-style musical production each summer attracting over 25,000 audience members in an outdoor amphitheater at Bluestem Center for the Arts in Moorhead, MN. Seeking stitchers for Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella directed by Michael Walling, NYC based regional theatre director and artistic director for award winning Trollwood Performing Arts School. Looking for candidates who truly love working on costumes, enjoy working with kids, relish a robust, energetic atmosphere, have strong construction proficiency and great communication skills. This is an educational theatrical production, and the candidate must possess the ability to teach youth.

Contract: Full time/on-site, flexible dates: Mid-May – early August, negotiable. Not affiliated with any unions.

Salary: Competitive. Travel stipend and housing provided.

The employee is often required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee must often lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.

ADMINISTRATIVE TEAM POSITIONS

FACILITIES TECHNICIAN: TROLLWOOD PERFORMING ARTS SCHOOL 2020

Under the direction of the Lead Custodian, maintain cleanliness and proper operation of the buildings and grounds of the Bluestem facility. Complete scheduled cleaning and preparation duties as assigned. Be vigilant of the needs of Trollwood Performing Arts School, and assist in moving equipment and supplies as required. Assist with set up and tear down of events. Seeking applicants with the ability to communicate and keep track of schedules. Must be able to work evenings and weekends, as scheduled. Experience working in a team oriented environment, and have experience creating effective working relationships with students, staff and volunteers. Applicants with a valid drivers’ license, preferred.

Contract: May 18 – August 7. Not affiliated with any unions.
