The performances of the Totally Trollwood Musical The Wizard of Oz: Youth Edition are just days away! The TTM team is in the midst of dress rehearsals and is working hard to put the final touches on their incredible show. Wizard of Oz performances are next Tuesday and Wednesday, August 2-3 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Rehearsals for the Trollwood Children's Theatre production of Seussical Kids and The Trollwood Players' production of The Best of Trollwood Sketch Comedy are wrapping up their second week and their performances are also quickly approaching! Things really picked up at Trollwood this week and we've got programs spread out all over the Fargo-Moorhead metro! Totally Trollwood Musical rehearsals are already in full swing at North, while Trollwood Children's Theatre and The Trollwood Players both had their first week of rehearsals at Discovery Middle School and South High School, and ArtSpark returned to the Trollwood campus for its first week of July sessions. Totally Trollwood Musical held its first rehearsals this week! The TTM kids have been hard at work this week doing character work and learning their music, blocking, and choreography. The start of Trollwood Children's Theatre and The Trollwood Players is just days away! Both programs hold their first rehearsals next Monday, July 18. TCT (for students in grades 5-6) will rehearse Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to noon at Discovery Middle School in Fargo. It's been a lot quieter around the Trollwood campus this week without all of our students here for classes! But it hasn't been totally lonely this week; Totally Trollwood Musical kicked off with its orientation on Wednesday in the Scheels Living Room. TTM is in the midst of auditions for Wizard of Oz: Youth Edition on Thursday and Friday. Once auditions are wrapped up, TTM will start rehearsals next Monday, July 11 at Fargo North High School! Trollwood Family & Friends, June classes wrapped up with a successful grand finale of Sun Celebration on Wednesday, June 29. We all had so much fun, the last month absolutely flew by! Now we're looking forward to our July programming as Totally Trollwood Musical, Trollwood Children's Theatre, and The Trollwood Players are set to kick off and ArtSpark returns for weeks four and five. The end of summer classes is right around the corner, but it feels like we just got started. It's going too fast! During Week 3 of Trollwood Academy and Totally Trollwood Academy, the students continued building their skills and showing off their talents. Each class spent time this week preparing performances for Share Day on Thursday and Friday to show their peers what they have been working on. Students at Trollwood Performing Arts School are settled in to their classes and are really digging in to growing as young artists. With the first week out of the way, they are hitting their groove and gaining confidence and skills. 2022 Mainstage Musical Postponed

Due to key staff positions going unfilled and unforeseen rising material costs, we made the difficult decision to postpone the Mainstage Musical: Singin’ in the Rain one year to 2023. The national labor shortage and inflation issues that have impacted industries locally and across the United States have likewise created struggles for Trollwood to produce the musical. This decision was not made lightly. The Mainstage Musical requires educators with a specialized technical skill set for theatre arts that can also teach students throughout the summer.
