Young Performer Auditions for Trollwood’s Freaky Friday

Trollwood Performing Arts School will be holding young performer auditions on Thursday, May 16th from 4-6pm for Trollwood’s upcoming Mainstage Musical, Disney’s Freaky Friday. TPAS is looking to cast a 9-11 year-old boy to play Fletcher Blake.  Height must not exceed 4’9.  Auditioners will be asked to sing 30 seconds of a song of their choosing, a cappella (without live or recorded accompaniment). CHARACTER BREAKDOWN:

FLETCHER BLAKE

8 years old – Katherine’s eccentric son and Ellie’s younger brother. He is a budding puppeteer who habitually annoys his sister (but secretly looks up to her). Principal role.

AUDITION INFORMATION

Auditioners must be between the ages of 9 and 11, and must not exceed 4’9”.  The actor must feel comfortable working with all adults, as there will be no other children cast in the production. The actor should have a working knowledge of how theatre works and preferably some stage experience. The actor’s family summer schedule needs to be compatible with the rehearsal schedule.  While singing is a component of this role, strong acting choices hold more weight than vocal ability. The actor needs to have a positive, perky personality. 

 AUDITION DATE: Thursday, May 16th

AUDITION TIME: 4-6pm

AUDITION LOCATION: Trollwood Performing Arts School – 801 50th Ave SW, Moorhead, MN 56560

WHAT TO PREPARE: A 30-second song of your choice (to be sung a cappella). Auditioners may be asked to cold-read from the script.
