Facilities Technician
Reports To: Lead Custodian
Date: Depends on Contract – approx. May 19 through Aug 15, 2025
Summary:
Under the direction of the Lead Custodian, maintain cleanliness and proper operation of the buildings and grounds of the Bluestem facility. Complete scheduled cleaning and preparation duties as assigned. Be vigilant of the needs of Trollwood Performing Arts School, and assist in moving equipment and supplies as required. Assist with set up and tear down of events.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Clean and prepare the facility for classes, events, and general use.
- Assist with any needs of the Faculty to have the necessary resources for classes.
- Assist with moving furniture and preparing for temporary staff housing.
- Assist with the needs of the Mainstage Musical Production Staff.
- Operate necessary equipment to maintain the grounds, including but not limited to; riding and push lawn mowers, weed whackers, hedge trimmers.
- Confident ability working with hand tools and power tools.
Qualification Requirements:
- Confident ability to communicate and keep track of schedules.
- Availability to work various schedules including evenings and weekends.
- Experience working in a team oriented office environment.
- Highly motivated towards the mission and goals of the organization, matched with a strong work ethic.
- Experience creating effective working relationships with students, staff, and volunteers; exhibit patience when interacting with students.
- Valid Drivers’ License required.
Education and/or Experience:
- 1-2 years related professional experience preferred.

Operations & Rentals Assistant
Reports To: Operations & Rentals Manager
Date: May 19 through August 8, 2025 with occasional evening and weekend hours
Operations & Rentals Assistant Summary:
The Operations & Rentals Assistant will play a key role in supporting Trollwood Performing Arts School’s operations, providing assistance with organizing and executing special events. Working under the guidance of the Operations & Rentals Manager, this position will require excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a friendly demeanor to work effectively with team members, sponsors, and patrons. The ideal candidate will possess a strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and collaborate in a fast-paced environment while providing excellent service.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Rental & Event Support:
- Work with the Operations & Rentals Manager to plan, organize, and execute a variety of special events, including staff orientations, volunteer gatherings, patron picnics, and Mainstage Musical activities.
- Assist with setting up effective communication systems for events and collaborate with volunteers, clients, sponsors, and other departments to fulfill event needs.
- Help manage event-related supplies and storage, ensuring everything is prepared for events and properly struck after completion.
Sponsorship & Marketing Coordination:
- Assist with communications and logistical tasks to fulfill commitments to sponsors, service clubs, and other partners, including scheduling sponsor nights, distributing tickets, obtaining ad copy, and preparing pre-show announcements.
- Support the creation and execution of marketing campaigns, including social media posts, email newsletters, and event promotion materials.
- Assist in developing and updating promotional content for digital platforms (website, social media, etc.) to enhance event visibility and sponsor recognition.
- Assist in coordinating marketing materials for sponsors, such as branded signage, digital ads, and event-related assets.
Concessions & Merchandise Support:
- Assist in the setup, maintenance, and operation of the concessions stands for Trollwood events, including the Mainstage Musical and Sun Celebration.
- Ensure the highest level of customer service, cleanliness, and organization at all times.
- Maintain concessions equipment and coordinate servicing as needed (e.g., popcorn machines).
- Manage inventory, ensuring the correct items are available, and assist in restocking throughout events.
- Oversee the evening operations of the stand, ensuring that volunteers have what they need and all operations run smoothly.
- Cash Handling & Reporting:
- Assist with managing startup cash, counting money, and preparing deposits each night.
- Help organize the return of unused inventory and rented/borrowed equipment.
Other Responsibilities:
- Attend staff meetings, orientations, and training as scheduled.
- Complete daily administrative tasks such as checking mail and email, filing both digitally and physically, and ensuring the timely completion of all assigned duties.
- Review and generate final reports for assigned duties and meet with your supervisor for feedback before your departure.
- Follow all policies and procedures outlined in the Trollwood and Fargo Public Schools manuals.
- Other duties as assigned.

The Box Office Agent/Office Assistant will provide essential clerical and customer service support for the Trollwood Performing Arts School. Under the direction of the Operations & Rentals Manager, this position will be responsible for handling ticket sales both in-person and over the phone for various Trollwood productions. In addition, this role will assist with general office tasks and help in setting up/executing special events hosted by Trollwood. Previous cashier experience is preferred but not required.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ticket Sales:
- Sell tickets for Trollwood productions, both in person and over the phone.
- Assist customers with ticket inquiries and resolve any issues related to ticketing.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and payment processing.
- General Office Support:
- Provide clerical assistance across various departments, including word processing, data entry, and filing.
- Handle photocopying and mailings, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Assist with public relations efforts as needed, including preparing promotional materials.
- Special Events:
- Assist with the setup and execution of Trollwood special events, including but not limited to performances, festivals, and fundraising events.
- Ensure all event-related materials are ready and organized.
- Provide customer service and support during special events.
- Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service and communication with patrons, responding to inquiries with a friendly and professional demeanor.
