Registration now open for Trollwood’s 2019 summer season!

Students may save up to $50 by registering any time prior to March 1, 2019!

Spring Programming:

Younger students can sign up now for the Trollwood Children’s Theatre (TCT) beginning March 18 through April 13 (ages 9-11). This group of young people will present Annie KIDS on April 12 & 13.

Summer Programming:

Beginning in June, Trollwood will offer a wide variety of programming options for students from ages six through graduated seniors. The Mainstage Musical program will present the musical, Disney’s Freaky Friday. There are numerous opportunities for students to participate in this Broadway caliber musical that is one of the region’s highest attended arts events. Whether part of the cast, the orchestra, or a technician in one of the show’s technical areas – sound, lights, scenic, hair and makeup, stage management, or costuming ­– all high school students are invited to be a part of this larger than life production. This new musical adaptation of the beloved film is sure to be the fresh, fun, feel good show of the summer.

Cast auditions will be held February 24 and 25 with callbacks on February 26 and 27. Orchestra auditions will follow on March 7, 8, 9, and 12. Call the Trollwood office at 218.477.6500 to sign up for a cast or orchestra audition slot.

Trollwood’s youngest students may benefit from one or more of the week-long sessions of ArtSpark. 14 sessions are available in 2019 throughout June and July. This program provides an opportunity to explore the world of theatre with basic training in dance, acting, and vocal music for elementary aged students. Each week-long session ends with a special performance for family and friends.

Other highlights of the 2019 summer include the Trollwood Academy and Conservatory programs, consisting of approximately 40 classes in the performing and production arts for high school students of all skill levels. In addition, Totally Trollwood Academy offers a special curriculum for the middle school student to explore opportunities in theatre arts. High school aged students may also apply for acceptance in the Trollwood Student Leadership program, where they have the opportunity to work side-by-side a professional artists and receive mentorship from that artist in their chosen discipline.

The Totally Trollwood Musical for middle school students will present Disney’s Beauty and the Beast Jr. This program will take place at Fargo North High School in July with performances July 30 and 31. This program tends to fill quickly, so early registration is recommended!

The Trollwood Players are back! This program will give high school students the chance to perform Timepieces, an original show written and directed by Kevin Kennedy. Performances run from July 15 through August 9 at Fargo South High School.
