Trollwood serves as the managing arm for Bluestem Center for the Arts, a world-class facility headquartered in Moorhead, MN. The campus includes river views, grassy meadows, woods and wildlife, outdoor stages, a 2,500-seat amphitheatre, and the beautiful Marcil Commons which serves as an educational center and rental space including warm, knotty pine rooms with beautiful park views.

Since 1978, thousands of young people have spent their summers learning, growing, and making friends at Trollwood. Trollwood offers nine annual arts education, youth leadership and performance programs.

SCENIC RUN CREW: FREAKY FRIDAY – TROLLWOOD PERFORMING ARTS SCHOOL 2019
Join professionals from across the nation at Trollwood Performing Arts School, a unique youth arts organization that produces a high quality Broadway-style musical production each summer attracting over 25,000 audience members in outdoor amphitheater located at Bluestem Center for the Arts in Moorhead, MN. Seeking Scenic Run Crew members for Disney’s FREAKY FRIDAY directed by Michael Walling, NYC based regional theatre director and Artistic Director for award winning Trollwood Performing Arts School. Working under the direction of the Stage Manager and Assistant Stage Manager/Deck Chief, prepare the stage for safe and productive rehearsals and performances. Perform all necessary stage shifts throughout tech week and performances. Assist in keeping the stage, the backstage area and understage clean, organized, and safe for a successful rehearsal process and show run. Serve on the strike team for the scenic department. Serve as a leader and positive role model to all students, including cast, crew, and orchestra. This is an educational theatrical production, and the candidate must possess the ability to teach youth.
Contract: July 1 – August 2, 2018. Not affiliated with any unions
Salary: Competitive. Travel stipend and housing provided.
